Building Rental

The historic Rose Performing Arts Center offers elegance and convenience for your next event. Various areas of the facility are available for weddings, fundraisers, concerts, recitals, business meetings, parties and more! Main Stage Theater
The large, lavish auditorium seats 500 on the main floor and 400 in the balcony. Enchanting alcoves that contain statues and fountains under a starry nighttime sky transport you to another time.

Main Lobby
Elaborate mosaic tiles and arched ceiling topped by a blue sky give guests the feeling of being outdoors in a Mediterranean piazza. The Main Lobby is adjacent to the Main Stage area and ideal for a pre-show reception. A large concessions counter serves perfectly as a bar or buffet. The Main Lobby can accommodate 150 for a sit down dinner. Rental includes use of Main Lobby, Entrance Foyer and up to four classrooms.

Mezzanine
A high, barreled ceiling that is brightly lit and painted with a realistic blue sky invites you to mix and mingle on the Mezzanine. Overlooking the Main Lobby, the Mezzanine has an air of grandeur accentuated by gold railings and red carpet. The space accommodates approximately 60 guests seated at tables or 150 – 200 for a stand up cocktail reception.

Lower Level
Offering a variety of spaces, the Lower Level of The Rose may be just the site for your wedding or business meeting.

  • Lower Lobby
    As you descend the marble stairs and enter the Lower Lobby you begin to understand the possibilities. The Lower Lobby boasts a stunning slate floor and candelabra wall fixtures and can accommodate 60 to 75 for a sit-down dinner.
  • Rehearsal Hall
    A great place for a business meeting or dim the lights and host a reception! This multi-functional space can be dressed up or dressed down depending upon the occasion. The room will seat 80 people at round tables.
  • Parlor
    An intimate room with a fireplace can seat up to 12 for a private dinner party.
  • Birthday Party Room
    Create a memory in this spectacular mosaic-tiled room with vaulted ceilings! Contact Lindy Aleksiak, Group Services Coordinator, at 502-4625 to find out about out birthday packages.

Hitchcock Theater
A small theater terrific for speakers and presenters! Seating up to 130, the Hitchcock Theater offers plush auditorium seating which allows everyone a terrific view of the stage. Lighting and sound services are also available.

Hitchcock Classroom
Located outside the Hitchcock Theater, the classroom offers tiered seating for up to 60.

Performances
Make your meeting or event even more memorable by including a performance by either The Omaha Theater Company or the Omaha Theater Ballet. Contact Lindy Aleksiak, Group Services Coordinator, at 502-4625 to learn about group rates and scheduled performances.

Technical Support
Professional lighting and sound designers are available at The Rose to assist you with all the technical requirements of your event.

Food Service
The lower level of The Rose is equipped with a kitchen available for minor food preparation or as a staging area for caterers. A freezer, refrigerator, stove and plenty of counter space is just what you need for a party. Catering and beverage arrangements for any event must be made through The Rose. Parking
For events taking place during the evening or on weekends parking is available across the street from the main entrance at 20th and Farnam.

Other Information
Rentals do not include box office support, house manager or janitorial clean up. Any personnel required for the set-up/running/tear-down of the event will be determined by The Rose.
